Summary of Position:
The Vice President of Marketing will define the company’s market strategy and implement the resulting plans to meet company objectives. We intend to engage in a variety of tactics in order to achieve our goals, so the right person will be versatile enough to cover a wide range of initiatives. The VP will manage a growing team as well as a reasonable marketing budget. This is a high energy startup, so the VP must be comfortable rolling up his/her sleeves to get things done.
Strategic Marketing Plan - Develop and execute a plan that includes corporate branding/positioning, market & competitive analysis, customer segment targeting, and related product positioning.
Communications & PR - Oversee marketing communications including branding, public relations, advertising, white papers, conferences, and website design and content. Manager PR agency. Liaise between agency and company’s senior company executives to ensure a consistent messaging strategy and coordinate placement as speakers, bylines, etc.
Community Evangelism – Continue the growth of our developer community, through events such as our annual developer conference in addition to smaller events, classes, and sponsorships.
Lead Generation - Define and direct marketing programs for demand creation and lead generation to meet pipeline goals, including SEO/SEM, webinars, and more.
Product Marketing - Oversee product marketing including product launch management, sales training, presentations, sales tools, competitive analysis and general sales support. Work closely with Product Management on product positioning and value propositions.
Budget - Develop and manage the company’s marketing budget.
Reporting – Develop, track, and report on metrics and success criteria for all
marketing programs and activities.
Ideal candidates will have a passion for marketing and an eagerness to learn and expand upon their existing marketing experience and training. The Marketing Coordinator must be a fast learner, very organized, energetic, analytical and proactive.

- Minimum of 8 to 10 years of B2B software marketing experience.
- Must be able to work closely and successfully with sales to ensure revenue targets are achieved.
